We are an in-home, one-on-one tutor company that prides itself on offering the BEST service to our customers. We ensure that all aspects of each student/tutor relationship serve the needs of the tutors as well as the students.


At Tutor Doctor we provide one-on-one tutoring in student's homes, taking learning to the next level. We provide academic help for all grades and subjects. Currently, we are seeking individuals who are passionate about teaching & coaching. Great interpersonal skills, motivation and creativity are absolutely essential. We are looking for tutors who care about our students' progress and who can teach them to have a positive relationship with learning.


Tutoring involves clarifying and teaching subject matter, as well as assessing the student's knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis. We are interested in tutors with expertise in subject areas encompassing Elementary, Junior High and Senior High Education from Kindergarten to 12th grade. We are also interested in tutors with university expertise in which they are proficient enough in to tutor as an "expert" in that area.


 

Qualifications

  • Access to a reliable vehicle or close to transit
  • Certified teachers, teaching assistants, undergraduates, graduates, and postgraduates

Job Type:

  • Part-time
  • 5 - 10 hours a week
  • Majority of hours are evenings &/or weekends

We have dedicated pages on our International web site for tutor recruitment, we are a member of the NTA (National Tutor Association), we continually run job fairs and work very closely with the local School districts. Tutor Doctor has earned the privilege of being recognised in the Education field and is known for being one of the largest recruiters in the "Home Based" tutoring community.

  • I moved to Calgary in August 2009, excited about starting my MSc in Respiratory Sciences at the University of Calgary. However, I was also quite apprehensive about living in a new city, thousands of kilometers away from my family in Toronto.
